There are a few things I want to write about, a little less that I should write about, and even less that I will write about. I’m sure some of you are thinking “oh, thank god.” 😏
I edited the first day of my Portland trip last night and I’ve got to say that I enjoyed myself but I would’ve enjoyed it better if I were by myself or with my son. I think I knew that going in and I can’t tell if I chose to go because I believe in giving second (and third and fourth) chances, or if I just really wanted to get out of town. It’s a mistake I won’t make again though. In my last post I mentioned people coming into your life and no matter the relationship, there is always something to learn from it. I’ve only been in three relationships and two have been within the last two years. My first taught me more than I can fit into this post, my second made me feel beautiful, and the third, as I mentioned before, taught me that I was only as free as I let myself be and to not be afraid. These things, no matter how things ended up, will stay with me and I am eternally grateful.
So we landed in Portland and said a quick hello as we drove past on our way to Lincoln City. We stayed by the beach and I mentioned previously that I suddenly wanted money, right? Only to be able to live there. I never liked the ocean all that much when I lived on Mission Beach in San Diego, but this was different. I fell in love every day.
Here are some photos from the first day:
I am utterly green right now. So jealous because that is absolutely stunning.
