I was reminded of something a friend posted maybe a year ago and I find it so fitting for some of the things I’m learning about myself and the things I think are important in this life.
“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. This is to have succeeded.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I did some more editing and I’m at the end of 2018. I’ve just got one more set to go, then I’ll be in 2019. I haven’t taken many photos this year, so if I’m going to continue this blog then I’d better get on it. This set was another of my favorite photography moments, and I can tell you right now that my photos don’t do it justice. This sky was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. I could have sworn I was on another planet. This was on the way home from southern Utah.
