I’m going through a very difficult time. I know this comes as a shock to you and this is probably the first time you’re hearing about it, but it’s true. π It’s tough, I don’t like being hated and being thought of as a liar. I don’t like everyone watching every little thing I do. It gave me terrible anxiety at first but as you’ve seen, I’ve sort of embraced the situation for what it is.
This app message of the day is the very reason I continue on this difficult road. What a feeling it is to go from thinking that God is indifferent to the inhabitants of this planet, to knowing without any doubt that God knows you personally. All I ever wanted in this life is to be understood and loved. To know that God loves me and speaks to me in a way that I can understand is an amazing gift. It’s worth this struggle. The other thing that makes it worth it is that I know that God wants to bestow his blessings upon all of us. I do know that my purpose is to bring people unto Christ. What an amazing gift to be able to give to another person? To let somebody else in and let them experience God’s love for themselves? I will dedicate the rest of my life to this cause.

Question
People pay huge amounts of money to obtain backstage passes to meet their favorite celebrity.
However, the opportunity to see and get to know the Savior requires no amount of money. It is available to everyone. All He requires is that we keep His commandments.
What does this suggest to you about what the Savior really cares about?
Scripture
1 Verily, thus saith the Lord: It shall come to pass that every soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me, and calleth on my name, and obeyeth my voice, and keepeth my commandments, shall see my face and know that I am;

Quote
Brothers and sisters, race, nationality, occupation, or other interests need not stand in the way. All can look to the Lord. All can place him first in their lives. Those who do so and remain faithful will qualify for his sublime promise: βEvery soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me, and calleth on my name, and obeyeth my voice, and keepeth my commandments, shall see my face and know that I am.β This glorious destiny can be ours.
Elder Russell M. Nelson
1 John 4:7-14
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
